The Flyway Film Festival was founded in 2008 on the beautiful shores of Lake Pepin in southwestern Wisconsin. The Ninth Annual Flyway Film Festival is scheduled for October 19-23, 2016 in the towns of Pepin, Stockholm, and Alma, Wisconsin and Red Wing, Minnesota.

Each year our festival features over 40 films, dozens of visiting filmmakers, panel discussions and workshops, and a Kickoff Gala with food, filmmakers and live music. All this takes place in an intimate and interactive environment along the banks of the Mississippi River.

A highlight of the Flyway Film Festival is the opening night awards ceremony, in which the talented recipients receive the Flyway Axe, a stone sculpture designed by nationally recognized local artist David Culver.
