The 2012 Flyway Film Festival was founded by Rick Vaicius in 2008 on the beautiful shores of Lake Pepin in southwestern Wisconsin. The Seventh Annual 2012 Flyway Film Festival is scheduled for October 23-26, 2014 in the adjoining towns of Pepin & Stockholm, Wisconsin.

Each year our festival features over 50 films, dozens of visiting filmmakers, panel discussions and workshops, and a Thursday night Kickoff Gala with food, filmmakers and live music. All this takes place in an intimate and interactive environment along the banks of the Mississippi River.

A highlight of the 2012 Flyway Film Festival is the opening night awards ceremony, in which the talented recipients receive the Flyway Axe, a stone sculpture designed by nationally recognized local artist David Culver.
